Who Am I?

I am a student at Newton North High School and visual artist. I have been painting, drawing, collaging, and more for my whole life. I didn't think I would have a chance to use my passion for art in my every day education, so I am very grateful to turn my 55 minute art classes into semester-long "studio time".

I am a writer of fiction, poetry, and ramblings. I am also a reader of poetry.

I love working with kids and it is very important for me to make a difference in their lives for the better. I work at Cabot After School Program with first and second graders, Temple Emmanuel Hebrew School with second graders, and I am a counselor at Camp Pembroke where I teach art to ages 7-15.

Next year, I will be attending Columbia College Chicago and getting my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration.

My favorite children's book is Miss Rumphius, by Barbara Cooney. Rereading this story about an independent, ambitious young woman focusing on traveling, learning, and leaving the world a little more beautiful than it was before is what inspired me to write my book.
