Carol Rossetti is an amazing illustrator and inspiration. She is an artist who illustrates a series called "Women" which is basically a beautiful set of paintings all showing different women of all races, sexual identidy, body types, paired with empowering captions about loving yourself and knowing you are beautiful for who you are not simply how you appear. I messaged her on facebook and reached her to ask for her approval/making sure it didn't seem like I was copying her project by doing a similar message or something. It was a pretty garbled message of me trying to explain to her a project that I hadn't even set in stone. Anyway, she wished me luck and vaguely told me she "did her research" on illustrating diversity. I just messaged her on her blog to ask about a further interview- I guess we'll see!
