(This is an old post but I needed to put it somewhere)
My name is Shira Stonehill and I signed up to do the CAPS Program because I knew that I wanted to graduate high school having had what I think is the most valuable form of education: experience. I have learned a lot in my 3 and a half years, and been truly lucky to have such a variety of classes and teachers over the years. Personally, though, I don't learn as much in classes where I sit, listen, test, and write essays. That is why I am doing CAPS- because I thrive in environments where I have the chance to make mistakes, make improvements, and be truly passionate about something that will get me more than a diploma. CAPS is not a requirement, but an opportunity to walk away with a legacy to be proud of.
